Languages

As a native speaker, I am fluent in German. I would describe my English as fluent, as I can engage in both private and professional conversations at a high level. My year abroad in the USA has also significantly contributed to the improvement of my English. I have demonstrated my language proficiency through language tests at the C1 level. Furthermore, my big dream is to learn Mandarin sooner or later.

During my high school years, I learned Spanish for three years. Although I maintain my knowledge through daily exercises on Duolingo and conversations with my wife, who speaks Spanish at a native level, I would still consider myself a beginner. Nevertheless, I hope to bring my Spanish to a fluent level in the next few months.

IT-Skills

As part of the start-up founding, I have already delved into programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Java, Swift, and PHP. I programmed our first website and also created a website for our editorial team, allowing editors to input content that is automatically redirected to the website. Additionally, we programmed our initial prototype using Swift before handing over the programming tasks to hired developers.

In various projects, I extensively engaged with R-Studio, R, and SQL to interpolate and analyze large datasets. I am proficient in office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including some VBA). I have gained considerable experience with these programs through various internships and university projects.

Interests

My hobbies can be categorized into "Creative," "Sport & Competition," "Knowledge Building," and "Entertainment." I have a keen interest in image, audio and video editing using software like Photoshop, Blender, Cinema4D, Krita, Sony Vegas, and Adobe Premiere, Final Cut X or Audacity as well as photography. Additionally, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and played handball for 15 years. Competitive video games have been a significant part of my life, and I was involved in more or less successful teams since my youth.

I also have a passion for reading books in the areas of military history, history of medicine, personal development, leadership, and phenomena such as near-death experiences or neurological phenomena that are not yet fully understood. Furthermore, I love watching movies in the cinema or having the occasional TV series marathon with my wife.
